I BIG CHOPPED..Transitioning Days are Over

Transitioning Days are OVER
YES...I....KAMITINAE....Big Chopped yesterday...April 30, 2013...and am officially joining the NATURAL TEAM.

 WHY?

  • Well...I was only supposed to get a trim BUT....my hair in the front was way longer than the back. 
  • So much so that when I wore buns....the only hair included was from the front half of my hair..  :0.....I know RIGHT.
  • My mother just chopped a week ago...I was muy JEALOUS.
  • I was excited to see my real texture of hair.
  • I was tired of dealing with my two textures of hair.
  • I LOVED my mother's new natural hairstyle.
  • Lastly....WHAT THE HECK...WHY NOT!
  • Nothing else cool was going on in my life.
HOW?
  • My mother sectioned my hair and applied conditioner.
  • She clipped all of the straight ends not matching my natural texture.
  • After I washed my hair I noticed that a trim was not ENOUGH.
  • Believe me everyone it was just TIME!
  • So after my wash my sister and mother hacked my hair off with two pair of scissors...with shears of course. lol 
  • I washed agan to remove the access hair and THEN my sister twisted my hair.
NOW WHAT?
  • Well....I think its time to LIVE the natural lifestyle.....
  • I have 2 more videos to post dealing with my snips...YES...I did more even after this.lol
  • I'll explain why later...no worries...only permed hair ;)

Natural Hair Growth Update-Moisturizing

These last two days I have been wearing my hair in a bun. I was tired of braiding my hair...using bantu knots...and all that twisting! Whew! So I used lots of water and moisturizer to slick it back into a medium high bun! Anyways, I thought it was important to show you guys my natural/permed hair. I would like to say that my natural texture is probably a 4b and perhaps a 4c in some areas in the back. My hair is wavy and sometimes spiral curls on my edges. But....the back seems to be a tad more coarse??? With less of a curl pattern. But I moisturize my hair at least 4-5 days a week. My hair tends to dry out really fast to the point where it feels brittle. One day I took my twist out to moisturize and my permed hair was super hard. Big Chop???? Hair cut Video!

Hey everyone: Let me be honest...I like to change hairstyles a lot. Soooooooooooo the protective style I recently had in for a little over a week did not last long. Although I do plan on wearing them again and quite frequently. However, as I mentioned before....my hair in the front was quite a few inches longer than the back of my hair. Which leads me to this POST! I had my mother even all of my hair up to match the back. Had this been a few years ago I probably would have freaked. But....I feel hmmmm LIBERATED....I cannot wait until all of my hair is natural.
