The dangers of the natural hair world are real! Find out how bunning my hair for just a little over two months caused my hair to lock! I was actually finding locks in my hair that were about .5 to 1 inch in width! I had about 4 of these around my hair and even more smaller ones dispersed throughout. Yes I DID have to add an additional trim to clean up the damage. Which was done yesterday 5.15.16 My ends were not split terribly...it looked like someone took a brush made of nails and brushed the ends of my hair. THAT is the best way that I can describe it! I noticed that the back of my hair experienced the most damage. Which is quite usual when I am having issues...the back is more susceptible to breakage.  I just hit my 3 years natural mark in April! You would think I would be a pro at this by now right! Wrong! FIX THE TWISTS For some SUPER ODD reason my twist-outs always need to be doctored-up. If you need a quick twist-out fix try this: 1. Lightly spray ends of hair with water. 2. Grab your FAVE gel...(To fix this you need your BEST GEL) ... 3. Add the gel to your curls. 4. And last give the hair a twirl at the end to keep the original definition in tact. Most of the time this WILL keep the style looking like a twist-out instead of a wash-n-go. By only applying the water and gel to the ends of your hair...you are reducing the shrinkage of the hair in the roots. Therefore, protecting majority of the length! In this video I recorded my baby sister's twist out. I taped the installation and the take down for you all. Our hair textures are a tad different. The biggest visible difference being that her hair has way more shrinkage than mines! Check out my little sister's Purple Twist-Out. I have finally attempted my first braid out on natural hair. I absolutely loved it, below is a tutorial on the process.  I am also pleased to inform that I can actually wear a twist out. It felt like it was taking me forever to achieve the look I wanted. But I kept trying....and I believe I needed a product change.  I encourage everyone to continue that hairstyle that you wanted! FRO WERK. I just released my 7month natural hair video update. My hair was blown out for the length check I show you guys! Don't worry....the blowout comb was set on COOL.lol It's been almost 2 years since any appliance has touch my hair. I truly believe it has aided in my hair growth! The classic AFRO is a style that can never be out of style! Rather you choose to rock the traditional OR create an AFRO-PUFF you just cannot go wrong. Especially in August, your hair doesn't have a chance to revert because it was never manipulated! Wheeeee that def takes some of the worry of bad hair days in the sun down a notch.  However, I'm sure some people aren't comfortable wearing their FRO!! Butthere are  quite a few ways to jazz up and tame this look. Check this picture of my moms hair out and let me know what you think.  I have been wearing my hair that way for about two weeks now! Alright...Alright...Alright....I know it took me two days to do it...but I DID! Here is the video of my Big Chop Results. Included in the Video: Texture Shots Dry Hair Photos Wet Hair Photos Dry Combed Out Photos My First Natural Hair Style Photos Hair Twisted Immediately After The Chop (Disaster) However, just to clear things up....the twist out was a terrible...terrible...LOOK...a least for me. There was no GAT DOG on way I would ever leave the house let alone.....the internet check that mess out. lol Hence why I did not show the results. However, I used WATER...MOISTURIZER...& Eco Styler Gel for my final look. My hair to my surprise would actually curl up on its own when it was moist. The gel helped to greatly reduce the amount of frizz in my hair. I apply those products....which I can share on a later post...and separate the hair and it curled up on its own from there. I actually love this style because it reminds me of my FAVORITE style.."BANTU KN...

I had to Clip more hair aside from the first video I posted! Not too long ago I cut about 3-4 inches of my hair off. I was a little afraid of how to handle my hair at first after the chop. However, omg I did bantu knots on my hair immediately and BOOM I was like heeeeeeeeeeey.lol I was really feeling my curly afro. I love my hair and I am so happy with my transition thus far. You should be able to see how my hair turned out in this video. And the explanation of why my hair is gold on the top ;p. But um comments...questions...concerns? Hit me up! And omg I have been using grapeseed oil in my hair as of lately along with my family....and guess what my hair is soooo SOFT LOVE IT! However, I just uploaded a Vday hair special behind the scenes from the up-do my mother gave me.    I love big, wild, edgy hair so she gave me something a little different. I like to call it my bohemian up-do ; ) However, as you all know I just cut 3- inches of hair off so I was not sure how COOL of a hairstyle I could actually get. lol Omg why would I think my mom would have issues with my new hair. Cause you know what she ROCKED IT! And guess what I can wear this for a few days later! Omg what would we do without protective styling! Braids, twists, two strand twists, and bantu knots were all used to achieve this look. Hey everyone: Let me be honest...I like to change hairstyles a lot. Soooooooooooo the protective style I recently had in for a little over a week did not last long. Although I do plan on wearing them again and quite frequently. However, as I mentioned before....my hair in the front was quite a few inches longer than the back of my hair. Which leads me to this POST! I had my mother even all of my hair up to match the back. Had this been a few years ago I probably would have freaked. But....I feel hmmmm LIBERATED....I cannot wait until all of my hair is natural. I've been transitioning for about 9 months as most of you know. I am determined to have my natural hair to my neck or shoulders by the end of this year. So....I wanted wear two-strand twists for the next few months because I would like to retain as much length as possible. OMG I hope I can do this I love changing my hair. So I will post any new styles I do to change things up! Alright everyone I decided to do this video on my past 9 months of hair transitioning. I do NOT plan on doing a big chop.....I think. I want my natural hair to reach my shoulders in its shrinkage state before I cut it all off. I shall call it my safe and mini chop.lol However, I want to say that I have NEVER had issues with my relaxed hair. I have never experienced any damaged hair...or severe breakage.  I basically started this journey because I want my natural thick hair back. I want the beautiful twists and twist outs..braid outs...bantu knots...etc. My hair is super thick and until now I forgot what my real hair actually looks like.  However, I am excited to be entering my 10th month of transitioning soon and then a year! OMG ... ..My nephew and I from last night! We were having such a good time playing around with our natural/transitioning hair! Let's be honest dealing with natural hair isn't always the easiest thing to deal with right? Sometimes we have BAD hair days.....days that make us feel like crap. And frankly so frustrated that we questionthe decision we made to even go natural to begin with. Tonight I just had my ends clipped because my hair tends to be a little shaggier in the back more than anything else. I'll be posting pictures later about that.
