The dangers of the natural hair world are real! Find out how bunning my hair for just a little over two months caused my hair to lock! I was actually finding locks in my hair that were about .5 to 1 inch in width! I had about 4 of these around my hair and even more smaller ones dispersed throughout. Yes I DID have to add an additional trim to clean up the damage. Which was done yesterday 5.15.16 My ends were not split terribly...it looked like someone took a brush made of nails and brushed the ends of my hair. THAT is the best way that I can describe it! I noticed that the back of my hair experienced the most damage. Which is quite usual when I am having issues...the back is more susceptible to breakage.  I just hit my 3 years natural mark in April! You would think I would be a pro at this by now right! Wrong! I have Very recently moved back to California. However, I still travel back and forth to Phoenix for work. (Flight Attendant Life) I recently had a Bad hair day last week (PSORIASIS) and had to fix myself up with a quick wash n go before returning to work!  I absolutely adore this quick and easy method...and shoot for something QUICK it sure is extra..super..cute. (You just can't go wrong) Every phase of my hair journey I tend to lean towards one specific way of doing my hair. FIX THE TWISTS For some SUPER ODD reason my twist-outs always need to be doctored-up. If you need a quick twist-out fix try this: 1. Lightly spray ends of hair with water. 2. Grab your FAVE gel...(To fix this you need your BEST GEL) ... 3. Add the gel to your curls. 4. And last give the hair a twirl at the end to keep the original definition in tact. Most of the time this WILL keep the style looking like a twist-out instead of a wash-n-go. By only applying the water and gel to the ends of your hair...you are reducing the shrinkage of the hair in the roots. Therefore, protecting majority of the length! Natural's.....I have FOUND 1$ products that work great on natural hair.  I found shampoo, conditioner, satin cap, and hair towels!  Lord knows I initially went to the store to grab one thing...and ended up with it ALL. Check your local 99cent store for these great buys. This video shows brief tutorials on these products as well. I have finally attempted my first braid out on natural hair. I absolutely loved it, below is a tutorial on the process.  I am also pleased to inform that I can actually wear a twist out. It felt like it was taking me forever to achieve the look I wanted. But I kept trying....and I believe I needed a product change.  I encourage everyone to continue that hairstyle that you wanted! I know it seems like we can only wear the fro...curly fro...headbands...twists...braids!  Ugh the simplicity of the patterns we see here right!!!! Do NOT limit yourself to the same thing if you want to change it up. I had two styles when my hair was permed.....down...and a ponytail. It can't get any more mundane than that right? However, I just recently...within this past year really learned to understand and work with my natural hair. When I get tired of waking up and looking at the SAME person in the mirror...I change it up.  I mean heck, maybe I don't want to be ME today. Well...maybe me but perhaps a spunky version.  I'm baaaaack....well not really. But I am finding a small amount of time to post to you all!  Well...I am entering week 3 of training! Yay me! Hell week is just about over and I am in it for the long haul :) Three more exams this week and one the following!  I know you're probably wondering why someone training to be a flight attendant is taking exams? Shoot me too 😋. Just kidding...but seriously what could they possibly be on. The only thing I have ever seen an FA do is serve beverages, perhaps give out a few snacks and check carry ons.  I honestly thought I would be learning to serve pecans...peanuts...cracker jacks..blow pops...and maybe a whistle for the kids. I am here to tell you that I have not SERVED one cracker jack this whole time 😩.  I know right I was thinking the same thing. Lol A flight attendant is not a glorified waitress. We are safety specialists, trained to effectively handle medical and aircraft emergencies. But Guess who put out a fire ye...

Hey everyone: Seems like it has been a tough MINUTE since I mentioned my new job. However, I will be leaving for training this Sunday May 19, 2013. Omg I am all packed and ready for this awesome new adventure in my life. I will be gone for a whole month....and then some because I have to get situated with my new living arrangements. However, I have posted one last video before my return! I needed a protective style for training. I do NOT have time for any Bad Hair days. So.....I opted to try something new! Flat Twist Video People =) BUT....for now I'm being flown to HAWT Arizona to bask in the sun. Well, not really I do actually have some things to learn. lol However, before I leave I plan on posting two videos that I haven't posted yet about my transitioning days. Wow it is so funny saying that because they actually just ended. lol But I will attempt to keep updates on here and my youtube as much as possible! Until then....wish me luck...and let's grow people.

Alright...Alright...Alright....I know it took me two days to do it...but I DID! Here is the video of my Big Chop Results. Included in the Video: Texture Shots Dry Hair Photos Wet Hair Photos Dry Combed Out Photos My First Natural Hair Style Photos Hair Twisted Immediately After The Chop (Disaster) However, just to clear things up....the twist out was a terrible...terrible...LOOK...a least for me. There was no GAT DOG on way I would ever leave the house let alone.....the internet check that mess out. lol Hence why I did not show the results. However, I used WATER...MOISTURIZER...& Eco Styler Gel for my final look. My hair to my surprise would actually curl up on its own when it was moist. The gel helped to greatly reduce the amount of frizz in my hair. I apply those products....which I can share on a later post...and separate the hair and it curled up on its own from there. I actually love this style because it reminds me of my FAVORITE style.."BANTU KN...

I had to Clip more hair aside from the first video I posted! Well...I was only supposed to get a trim BUT....my hair in the front was way longer than the back.  So much so that when I wore buns....the only hair included was from the front half of my hair..  :0.....I know RIGHT. My mother just chopped a week ago...I was muy JEALOUS. I was excited to see my real texture of hair. I was tired of dealing with my two textures of hair. I LOVED my mother's new natural hairstyle. Lastly....WHAT THE HECK...WHY NOT! Nothing else cool was going on in my life. HOW ? My mother sectioned my hair and applied conditioner. She clipped all of the straight ends not matching my natural texture. After I washed my hair I noticed that a trim was not ENOUGH. Believe me everyone it was ...

OMG ya'll my family aka 4Gradesnatural just did a photo shoot the other day! We had so much fun getting dressed together and doing our hair! My little sister Ky straightened her hair for the first time in a year. However, she had it professionally done...cut..etc. Will definitely post a video on that process! However, the rest of us had our hair pulled back off of our faces! But the best thing about this is it's NATURAL. We also did not have these photo's touched up! This is who we are! My mom just cut the rest of her perm off today!!! Yay! So happy for her BUT it makes me soooo ready to do mines. Her hair is way more curlier than I expected....it's so beautiful! I will post her video soon. (4gradesnatural) However, I put bantu knots in my hair tonight and accidentally left a piece out. Sooooo you already know what I did....yes I cut it!!! I wanted to see how long my hair has grown in a year....my natural hair. To my surprise it grew a little over 6 inches for the year yay! Thats a half inch every month which is a normal growth rate. My hair looks super short until you stretch it out. Watch me Grow!
