Hey guys! If you didn't know....in 2013 of last year 3 of 4 women in my family did the big chop! My sis...Karmen above...did not. She has NEVER used chemicals to change her natural hair pattern. However....she did transition from heat damage.I'm sure you notice that her hair is completely different than mines! We all actually have very different hair patterns. Her hair is wavy/curly and fine. Here she chats about her favorite protective style! More to come on Karm! My mom just cut the rest of her perm off today!!! Yay! So happy for her BUT it makes me soooo ready to do mines. Her hair is way more curlier than I expected....it's so beautiful! I will post her video soon. (4gradesnatural) However, I put bantu knots in my hair tonight and accidentally left a piece out. Sooooo you already know what I did....yes I cut it!!! I wanted to see how long my hair has grown in a year....my natural hair. To my surprise it grew a little over 6 inches for the year yay! Thats a half inch every month which is a normal growth rate. My hair looks super short until you stretch it out. Watch me Grow!

Happy Birthday ME! ;) YES....not only is it my 1st year transitioning anniversary BUT...it is MY 23rd Birthday everyone! Well...I posted my transitioning video yesterday and today I am posting my BDAY Ponytail hair tutorial. I talked about some new things I enjoy doing with my hair and why! However, I wanted to enjoy my birthday without my hair stuck to the side of my face or blowing every way but in the RIGHT direction =p. Hey ya'll: Well, I learned a new hairstyle within the last two days! I put myself on trial because omg I really need to learn how to do my hair. My ma can't save me all the time right.lol  But any who Yay go me....wheew was this one a doozie at first for me. But I really wanted a different look to the back of my hair and kept practicing til I got it. I would not have been as difficult but I am going NATURAL ya know. So that made things a little challenging. But you know what....now that I got it...I GOT IT ;). This is a great style for a nice sexy get up or when it's time to put that BUSINESS look together. Good Luck....! Well let me present....what I like to call my  WILMA .....Flintstone of course.lol

Hey everyone: Let me be honest...I like to change hairstyles a lot. Soooooooooooo the protective style I recently had in for a little over a week did not last long. Although I do plan on wearing them again and quite frequently. However, as I mentioned before....my hair in the front was quite a few inches longer than the back of my hair. Which leads me to this POST! I had my mother even all of my hair up to match the back. Had this been a few years ago I probably would have freaked. But....I feel hmmmm LIBERATED....I cannot wait until all of my hair is natural. I've been transitioning for about 9 months as most of you know. I am determined to have my natural hair to my neck or shoulders by the end of this year. So....I wanted wear two-strand twists for the next few months because I would like to retain as much length as possible. OMG I hope I can do this I love changing my hair. So I will post any new styles I do to change things up! OMG ... ..My nephew and I from last night! We were having such a good time playing around with our natural/transitioning hair! Let's be honest dealing with natural hair isn't always the easiest thing to deal with right? Sometimes we have BAD hair days.....days that make us feel like crap. And frankly so frustrated that we questionthe decision we made to even go natural to begin with. Tonight I just had my ends clipped because my hair tends to be a little shaggier in the back more than anything else. I'll be posting pictures later about that. But ANYWAYS CAN YOU POINT OUT THE FAKE!LOL

Omg.....it's 3:40 a.m and I'm laying down watching Kill Bill 2. But I'm thinking about my hair...i'll probably be dreaming of bantu knots jumping over combs! I cannot wait to be completely natural. I'm sick and tired of these cancer ends dangling from my hair. I see why people Big Chop thus stuff is mentally exhausting. What am I to do when I wash my hair and my roots dry up in 3 seconds. Leaving me without hope of a painless detangle session. Well....I'll get over it. I've washed my hair and all of those things did happen. But I managed to come back with a full head of hair still. # Transitioner Accomplishment :) Anyone having Transitioner woes!?! Talk to me! Night Night Everyone
